Here are the three top new movies to watch on Netflix this season and beyond.

Netflix and Chill! Don’t read us wrong, but come on, what’s not so awesome about that cozy moment you and bae snuggle under those blankets to binge watch your favorite Netflix series. Well…, we all want to be there. There are a lot of thrillers to choose from, and little there is time, too. However, there are a few series we will strongly recommend that you don’t miss this season, at all. Without further ado, here are the three top new movies that will be trending on Netflix this season and beyond.

The Invisible Man

This movie was released by Universal Pictures as a stand-alone version of the Dark Universe. However, this is a much better version than that series of classic monster movies interconnected like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

What to expect: In this thriller, Cecilia receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend who recently commits suicide — only to leave her fortune behind. Without any of it, Cecilia believes his death is just a hoax and she’s bitterly haunted by her alleged late-lover. But, come on, you got to see this to enjoy the thrill. The movie portrays a tense affair throughout, as Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) gives an outstanding performance of being one of Hollywood’s finest talents there is.

The Hunt

This is another horror flick you don’t want to miss. It was released just shy of the pandemic closing down many theaters when it debuted. This is one of the classics that packs horror, suspense, and loads of action into just a movie.

What to expect: The setup for the movie begins with a dozen strangers who woke up in the middle of nowhere. Without a memory of how it all happened, they realize they are being hunted down by a group of conspiracy theorists. This turns out to be a straight satire-commentary like right-wing versus left-wing US policy agenda debate. Kinda! The movie stars Betty Gilpin as the badass Crystal May Creasey. We need not say much, see for your self.

Released on February 11, this movie takes place in the dystopian future. Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet — who’s also the director of Amélie and Alien Resurrection — this one starts with a robot uprising in a suburban neighborhood.

What to expect: The year is 2045, and humans have grown too lazy and delegate their chores to robots. These robots gain consciousness and realize what’s happening. Enter the much anticipated “Robot Apocalypse.” Consequently, people are being held hostage by robots in their own households. Starred by Elsa Zylberstein as Alice, she and her household members are hoping to survive the ordeal. Let’s leave it here.

Bonus: The Tinder Swindler

The Tinder Swindler is actually a documentary based on a true story about an Israeli fraudster (Shimon Hayut) under the alias name of Simon Leviev who used the Tinder dating site in attempts to swindle women out of millions of dollars. From the director of ‘Don’t F**k With Cats,’ this documentary movie has sparked some conversations since it’s release. It is the top trending film on Netflix right as we write this article, and the company plans on coming up with it’s own dramatized version. Stay tuned!
