Here are the 12 elements of emotional intelligence, according to psychologists.

Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand and control emotions in yourself and others. Similar to intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ) is equally important as well. Coined in the early 1990s by psychologists John D. Mayer and Peter Salovey, it wasn’t popularized until the release of Daniel Goleman’s book that had the same term as a befitting title. The book outlines various aspects of the terms which Goleman categorizes into four domains and 12 elements. Like yeah! It’s a lot to pack in. Here are the 12 elements of emotional intelligence.
